Also, a very cool cache (archived) hidden in the pool area (GC15Y7M Tumbledown).
Abandoned luxury mansion from the mid 70’s
- indoor pool with engine driven windows to open up the roof
- complete business area with reception (pic), meeting rooms, archives and so on
- indoor sports hall with basketball hoops, rings and more
- living area with approx. 50 rooms, 6-7 bathrooms, 4 kitchens, indoor fireplace and more
The owner of this mansion started a very successful flower import business in the late 60’s. The idea was to import foreign flowers that the Swedish people had never seen before, and charge outrageous prices and it obviously worked very well. 1972 he built this place, and lived and worked here for about 7-8 years before he sold the mansion for a tiny sum and moved abroad (probably to a tax paradise somewhere). The new owners couldn’t afford the costs of heating and keeping the place up, so they abandoned it quite fast. Since then the place has just been empty, totally abandoned and has become victim of sabotage and ruination. Rumor has it that someone bought the place recently, and will try to restore it to its former glory. I have no idea how that project is going…

Welcome to Kopparberg in Ljusnarsberg community!
Kaveltorp is a mining district with deposits including copper ore. The mining in Kaveltorpsfältet began around 1640, increased sharply in the mid-1800s and was closed in the early 1970s. The last years before the closure Boliden broke sulphide ore in Kaveltorp.
Kaveltorp is situated beside highway 63 south of Garälven, with the mining field Ljusnarsberg located on the other side of the river.
Behave DISCREETLY and with RESPECCT - this is an old mining area.
The coordinates will show you the mine opening.
